Common FAQs

Q: How old do you have to be in order to play in the CTWL Fall Developmental League?

A: Players participating in the CTWL Fall Developmental League must be eligible to participate in the 2020 CTWL season. For a player to be eligible be male, be between the ages of 13 and 19 as of June 1st, 2020 and MUST be a resident of the State of Connecticut.

Q: How are teams selected, and how will I be notified?

A: Teams are selected by pre-selected team captains who elect to take the position. Teams will consist of no less than three (3) and no more than six (6) players, most of which will be drafted. If and when you are selected by a team that team's respective captain will reach out to you regarding your selection.

Q: How long are games?

A: Games are five (5) innings long, and generally take about 45-75 minutes each to complete.

Q: If I participate in this league do I have to join the main CTWL league in 2020?

A: No, you do not have to play in the main league when it launches in 2020. This league is a place for development of current wifflers as well as first-time WIFFLE ball players seeing if our league is right for them. If you find that for whatever reason you don't wanna continue you are free to leave.

Q: Where will the games be held?

A: All official Fall Developmental League games will take place at Ridge Road Elementary School in North Haven, CT (for those who need the address it's 1341 Ridge Road, North Haven, CT 06473). The field will be set up in the back of the school, behind the playground and in front of the line of swingsets.

Q: Will knifed/scuffed balls be allowed?

A: Yes, knifed or scuffed balls in addition to unmanipulated official WIFFLE balls will be allowed for use.
